Explore the ancient city of Byblos and Lebanon

Discover Byblos & Lebanon

IC2AI 2027 takes place in one of the world's most historically rich destinations. We encourage participants to extend their stay and explore what Lebanon has to offer.

Byblos Archaeological Site

One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Byblos (Jbeil) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient port, Phoenician temples, and Crusader castle are all within walking distance of the conference venue.

Old Souk & Waterfront

The charming old souk of Byblos offers artisan shops, traditional crafts, and excellent seafood restaurants overlooking the ancient harbor. A perfect setting for evening dinners after conference sessions.

Beirut City

Lebanon's vibrant capital is just 45 minutes away. Explore Gemmayzeh, Mar Mikhael, the National Museum, and the Corniche. Beirut is renowned for its food scene, nightlife, and Mediterranean energy.

Cedars of God

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and Lebanon's national symbol, the ancient Cedar forest in the Kadisha Valley is a breathtaking day trip offering hiking trails and stunning mountain scenery.

Baalbek Temples

The Roman temples of Baalbek — including the monumental Temple of Jupiter — are among the best-preserved in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, about 2 hours from Byblos.

Jeita Grotto

A spectacular system of caves and grottoes accessible by boat on an underground river, located just south of Byblos. One of Lebanon's most iconic natural landmarks.
